Helping Velindre Cancer Centre with Manics Drummer

If you’re a fan of British rock music, then like us, the Manic Street Preachers will undoubtedly be at the top of your favourites list. The legendary chart-topping Welsh band’s drummer Sean Moore is currently fundraising on behalf of Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff ahead of undertaking a trek to the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu in the Peruvian Andes later this month.

Velindre is a specialist cancer treatment centre providing services to over 1.5 million people across South East Wales and beyond. Each year, they treat over 5,000 new referrals and around 50,000 new outpatients. Their dedicated staff of over 670 work as a close knit team and aim to provide patients and their families with the best possible care and treatment.

We’ve teamed up with Sean to support his efforts to raise as much money as possible for the charity and he’s running an auction on Twitter to win a signed acoustIQ Grand Slam gift set containing a stick bag, three pairs of Grand Slam IQ1 snare drum sticks, three Grand Slam practice pads, and a signed rare Manics shirt.

This is the final fundraising auction in this campaign and you can place your bid by tweeting Sean at @seanmooremanic. The winner donates to his JustGiving page at the end of the auction on 30 September, 2017.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get your hands on some great Manics memorabilia in aid of a fantastic cause.
