Buchan Debuts acoustIQ in Grade 1 Competition

The weather was miserable, but the outlook was bright for acoustIQ at the Scottish Pipe Band Championships held in Levengrove Park, Dumbarton today.

The newly-promoted Buchan Peterson Pipe Band’s impressive bass section played the new Grand Slam tenor drum mallets, making them the first Grade 1 drummers to perform with acoustIQ in a competitive setting.

Having used the mallets for several weeks in preparation for the championship, the players have discovered an improved response from their instruments, and noted that the balance and feel have enhanced control over the intricate flourishing elements of their performances.

We are delighted to see Buchan Peterson Pipe Band making the acoustIQ Grand Slam Plus their tenor drum mallet of choice and wish them every success.
